RoClean – Biological Wastewater Treatment System
The RoClean small-scale sewage treatment plant is a high-performance biological wastewater treatment system designed for domestic wastewater. Thanks to modern SBR technology, a durable polyethylene (PE) tank, and pre-assembled components, it enables efficient and reliable wastewater treatment for buildings without a connection to the public sewer system.
The system is supplied ready for connection, can be installed quickly, and is designed to serve a capacity of 4 to 50 population equivalents (PE).
Its robust, one-piece PE tank, pre-assembled technology, and simple installation make RoClean a durable and reliable solution for decentralized wastewater treatment.
The Roclean in detail

- Cover with hinge
- Telescopic Extension
- The cover can be easily screwed onto the tank and readily adapted to the terrain. It is compatible with additional extensions in the event of deep underground installation. The dimensions of the extensions are Ø600 mm x 300 mm (length).
- Sedimentation chamber
- Air-lift pumps
- Aeration tank
- Air Distributor
- PE tank with integrated wall
- Sampling shaft
- In smaller RoClean systems, the sampling shaft is integrated, self-cleaning, and easily accessible via the inspection opening.
Scope of delivery:
Tank Roterra; for 12 PE and above, includes two DN 600 telescopic access shafts (walkable), pre-assembled RoKit SBR technology, external PE control column, and internal sampling shaft (for up to 22 PE); for 32 PE and above, an external shaft is included.
The air supply lines (4 x 10 m) are included in the scope of delivery.

How SBR Wastewater Treatment Works
The EcoBox small-scale wastewater treatment plant uses the SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) process for the biological treatment of wastewater. The system consists of two sections:
- Sludge storage
- SBR reactor
The treatment process is automated and takes place in several phases:
- Reactor filling
- Biological treatment by microorganisms
- Sedimentation of solids
- Clear water discharge
The treated water can then be discharged in accordance with local regulations.

Installation
Simple and quick installation
Installing the Roclean is simple due to its shape; it requires a much smaller excavation pit and less backfill material.

FAQ
A small-scale sewage treatment plant is a decentralized wastewater treatment system that biologically treats wastewater when there is no connection to the public sewer system.
The RoClean system is designed for 4 to 500 population equivalents (PE) and serves both private households and larger buildings or settlements.
An SBR small-scale wastewater treatment plant purifies wastewater in several automated phases. Microorganisms break down organic pollutants, and the treated water is subsequently discharged.
The tank is made of polyethylene (PE) and is manufactured in a single piece using the rotational molding process, ensuring high stability and a long service life.
By default, the system meets discharge class C. Optionally, classes N, D, +H, and +P are also available.
