The ROTO Group has been cooperating with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Maribor for more than a decade in various development projects and in the education and practical training of students in diploma, master’s and doctoral theses.
ROTO, the leading manufacturer of treatment plants in Europe, donated an ECOBOXtreatment plant to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Maribor, which is manufactured using SBR technology, with built-in telemetry and a wastewater treatment rate of up to 98%.
At the faculty, the treatment plant will be used in a laboratory for experimental and research purposes. Here, students will learn about the various processes that take place in treatment plants and thus better understand the hydraulic and biological processes in wastewater treatment. They will also encounter practical solutions in the field of construction of new products, process technologies of plastic processing and other useful skills. Roto also offers students hands-on training, diploma mentoring, scholarships, and successful careers.
The ROTO Group also cooperates with secondary schools in Pomurje. They donated their first robot to the High School of Mechanical Engineering in 2006. More on www.rotoECO.eu

ROTO intelligent wastewater treatment products, under the slogan Save the Water, Save the World, proved to be extremely interesting for all visitors to the Dubai Expo. Many of them are increasingly aware of the importance of water conservation and the environmental challenge.
The lecture we prepared gathered many interesting guests from all over the world. As one of the leading companies in the field of wastewater treatment, we have prepared examples of good practice for visitors.
After the formal work, we refreshed ourselves with our guests with home-made Slovenian food and chatted about business opportunities offered by Slovenia.
Children from Dubai Primary School visited Water Week as part of the World Expo Dubai. The last week in Dubai is dedicated to water and the preservation of this invaluable source of life.
During the visit to the Slovenian pavilion at the ROTO stand, students and teachers learned how to handle clean and waste water. We also explained to them how we handle wastewater in Europe.
The biggest enthusiasm was certainly the small ROTO tanks and cleaning devices that the children received as a gift.
