Project description
Šmartno na Pohorju is a settlement and the largest community in the Municipality of Slovenska Bistrica. This sprawling settlement, with a compact core, is located in the south-eastern part of Pohorje. In order to raise environmental awareness and to comply with European directives, the municipality decided to develop the settlement. As part of the project, a fecal sewerage system and a small sewage treatment plant were installed.

SBR-Q technology
The SBR technology principle is applied to small municipal sewage treatment plants. The wastewater treatment plant is fully automated and integrated into the control system.
The operator can remotely access the water treatment plant via a telemetry system.
The sewage treatment plant is dimensioned in accordance with the latest standards and technical guidelines.
