The Poštarski dom mountain hut is situated on a terrace south of the 1737 m high Vršič, the highest road pass in the eastern Julian Alps. The mountain hut is located in the Triglav National Park, so the requirements for clean water discharge are much stricter. Due to the old sewage treatment plant ceasing to operate, a new one was needed. Together with technical experts
opted for the ROTO RoMem wastewater treatment plant, which offers high purification efficiency and makes use of the purified water.
ROTO sollution
The ROTO RoMem wastewater treatment plant for 20 population units was installed, connected and commissioned by the ROTO technical team.
Scada
The telemetry system allows the system to be monitored remotely 24 hours a day, and the system is always running at optimum performance. And remote access via the internet and mobile devices allows parameters to be adjusted if necessary.
MBR technology
RoMem includes a membrane filtration unit that allows high purification efficiency and water reuse for irrigation and sanitary water. Membrane bioreactor (MBR) is a treatment process that combines membrane filtration with biological treatment (activated sludge).
Fast installation of waste water treatment plants
Installation and connection of ROTO products is quick and easy thanks to the PLUG and PLAY system. The RoMem wastewater treatment plant at the Poštarski dom mountain hut was installed and ready for use in two days.
Customer support
Roto’s technical team ensures the ongoing servicing of its products. Twice-yearly visits ensure that the treatment plant is working properly and that the water at the outlet remains treated to a high standard in accordance with the project documentation. During the winter, the treatment plant is switched off.
