From 1 July, passengers at Ljubljana’s Jože Pučnik Airport will travel from the new, modern terminal. This brings additional surfaces, a higher standard, new check-in counters, additional luggage collection capacity and an enriched catering and trade offer.

Successful Slovenian companies are responsible for the spacious, passenger-friendly and self-sufficient facility of the highest (green) standards, which has established an efficient regional entry point near the capital: construction company “GIC Gradnje”, designer Bureau Plan B and Roto Group.

Architecturally, the new building was designed in the Plan B office, the building was built by the company “GIC Gradnje”. The new terminal has another special feature – it is self-sufficient in water. Concern for green technologies was taken over by Roto Eco. All the water needed to flush toilets and washbasins in the terminal building is pumped from ROTO’s rainwater collectors Roterra. All water from parking lots and aircraft platforms is collected and purified in Roto polyethylene shafts and in Roto oil seperators.

The modern terminal that followed the set time and financial frameworks, is a great achievement that all of Slovenia can be proud of. It will significantly improve the passenger experience at Ljubljana Airport.
