Calming shaft DN1000

A compact, leak-tight, and installation-friendly solution for reliable sewer infrastructure.

Energy-dissipating manholes represent the optimal solution for reducing high flow velocities. They are designed and constructed to allow water to flow tangentially into the manhole and travel along the circular manhole base toward the outlet pipe located at the bottom.

These manholes are available in two different diameters—DN800 and DN1000—and in various heights of up to 5 meters. With proper installation and the use of the requisite manhole cover, these units can be installed in areas subject to traffic loads.

The manholes can be prepared for the connection of PVC, PE, ribbed, or any other type of piping.

FAQ
What are energy-dissipating shafts used for?

They serve to reduce high flow velocities in drainage systems, thereby preventing erosion and hydraulic overloading.

How does the airflow guidance in the shaft work?

The water flows tangentially into the shaft and is guided in a controlled manner along the circular shaft floor toward the outlet, thereby effectively dissipating energy.

Which sizes are available?

The energy-dissipating throttle shafts are available in nominal diameters DN 800 and DN 1000, as well as in various heights of up to 5 m.

With which pipe systems are the shafts compatible?

The shafts can be prepared for the connection of PVC, PE, ribbed, and other pipe systems.
